Quick answers

Before you ask.

What is the Málaga Codex Journal?
The free editorial section of Salah Nomad. It publishes first-person field journals, time-sensitive dispatches (visa thresholds, tax rulings, flood alerts) and analyses about moving to or buying in Spain, written by an independent publisher rooted in Málaga since 2021. Every entry is free to read.
How is the Journal different from the Málaga Codex atlas?
The atlas is the commercial hub: city matcher, bundles and the paid PDF field manuals. The Journal is the reading room: stories, news and analysis, with links to the manual that goes deeper on each topic. You never need to buy anything to read the Journal.
Which parts of Spain does it cover?
Málaga, the Costa del Sol and Andalusia are covered in depth, with dedicated codices for Málaga, the Costa del Sol, Seville and Granada. Valencia and Barcelona have codices that serve as the nearest reference for the Costa Blanca and the Costa Brava. The Balearic Islands and other coastal areas are covered through property due diligence on request. Each coast page states its coverage plainly.
How often is the Journal updated?
Whenever a rule, threshold or market condition changes in a way that affects people relocating or buying. New entries appear on this page automatically at each publication, and the page shows the date it was last reviewed.
Is the information legal, tax or immigration advice?
No. Salah Nomad is an independent editorial publication, not a law firm, real estate agency, immigration consultancy or financial adviser. Rules and prices change often, so verify with official sources and registered professionals before you act.
How are claims verified?
With the Hallmark Method: data is sourced from official portals, registers, listings and direct enquiries, then graded A (primary source), B (three or more independent sources) or C (indicative), dated and corrected. Reported errors are reviewed within 14 days.
Does Salah Nomad take commissions or sell paid placement?
Never. The only income is what readers pay for manuals and private services. Professionals are listed only after registration, responsiveness and fee checks, and nobody pays to appear.
Are the manuals expensive, and how do I pay?
Each manual is a one-time PDF purchase with no subscription; prices and bundles are shown in the manuals section above. Checkout is bankless: Bitcoin (on-chain and Lightning) or USDC. A 2-year legal guarantee of conformity applies.
How can an agency, notary, lawyer, gestoría or bank work with the Journal?
Start with the form in the professionals section. Options include a free verified listing (four entry tests, no paid placement), a signed expert note edited by the Journal, and independent client audits or roadmaps paid only by the client. Zero commission applies in both directions, and regulated acts always stay with licensed professionals.
Is the Journal available in Spanish?
Yes. The hub, the professional desk and the methodology are available in Spanish for businesses in Spain. The individual articles are currently written in English and are marked as such in the Spanish version.
